Paige Spiranac
Paige is a former professional American golfer with the attitude and mindset that aligns perfectly with X-Golf. Paige grew up in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, where she began her career in athletics. Her dad played football in college and was on the championship-winning Pittsburgh Panthers team. Her mother danced professionally in ballet, and her older sister got a full-ride scholarship to Stanford as a track athlete. As a kid, Paige initially had the determination, dedication, and foundation to become an Olympic gymnast. After a few consecutive knee injuries in her teenage years, she put down the leotard and began to pursue golf with the same passion that fueled her gymnastics dreams. From that point on, golf became her life.
Social Media
From the moment she created her account, Paige began to post golfing videos and tutorials online. This led her to be known as the “OG Instagram Golf Girl.” Her account initially started as trickshot golfing videos, but quickly grew into a large following, proving to be much more than just a simple Instagram page. Over the last few years, she has amassed over 2.5 million followers on Instagram’s platform alone.
Her content displays her golfing skills, golfing tutorials, personal adventures, various companies she works with, and, of course, her dog Niko! We saw her as a great fit for our indoor golf simulation business, and are excited to see how we build this brand together in the coming years. Check out her newest post about X-Golf and her excitement surrounding our facilities!
Junior/High School Years
Paige began to play in Colorado’s junior golf circuit as a teenager and quickly ended up winning five out of the seven tournaments she entered into. This is very impressive work for someone who began to pursue golf only as an alternative to the sport she could no longer compete in. She was a two-time West Region Player of the Year and was also a first-team All-American on the Future Collegians World Tour. This quick ascent up the golf ladder led her to receive a scholarship to the University of Arizona to continue her golf career in college.
College Golf
Paige began her college golf career at the University of Arizona. However, she only competed in three events during her first year of school. She hit a 73 twice that year in the three events she competed in. Her unrecognized talent along with personal issues with the area led her to seek new horizons as she felt unappreciated for her efforts.
Paige transferred to San Diego State University the next year, where things really began to turn for the positive. During her sophomore year, she received First-Team All-American West honors, along with a sixth-place finish at the Mountain West Championship. This was impressive for not only someone of her age, but also considering the factors surrounding this accomplishment. Most people do not integrate into a stellar performance when transferring schools. During her junior year, she placed in the top ten again at the Mountain West Championship and received another All-Mountain West honor. This began to give her and her teammates confidence to turn it up another notch. During her final year, Paige helped lead her team to win the Aztecs’ first Mountain West Conference Championship in school history. She describes that feeling of accomplishment as one of the best moments in her life.
Later that year in the summer after graduation, Paige participated in the CWGA match play championship. Going up against Brittany Fan from the University of Colorado Boulder, she ended up winning the 35-hole title match and finished 9 strokes under par. This is a truly amazing score for any golfer, and especially under the competitive microscope that she had to perform under.
Professional Golf
Paige began to participate in the Colorado Women’s Open after graduating from college, where she placed in the top ten her first year. This earned her a cash prize, and upon claiming it gave her the title of a professional golfer. Over the next year, she participated in the Cactus Tour. In her third event she entered, she edged out the number one ranked amateur in the world, earning her first tour win.
While professional golfing was fun and exciting, Paige realized that there was a barrier to success that professional women golfers face. She realized that growing her brand was a better use of her time, and could be more rewarding and lucrative in the long-run. After missing the Dubai cut in 2016 (and receiving various threats to her health and safety at that time), she ceased touring and began her career as an influencer. The rest is history, bringing us up to speed!
